Back in Albury I've left friends and family behind (and even a girlfriend!) but I felt like I had reached a dead end and couldn't really progress any further in my music career.
Since moving to Sydney I've been busy getting out and checking out some of the best clubs in Australia, booking gigs, going on radio, meeting loads of new people and I've been producing lots and lots too, working on new tracks and remixes for Vacation and Mental Madness Records along with my own label Happy Day Records.
I'm also currently working on a track as part of a remix bundle to promote an event in Mallorca Spain, where I've been booked to play, along with other MARC1 DJs.
I've had to change how I work in the studio too. Living right next to OLD people means I can't blast my monitors for hours on end like back at home, which means the old headphones get a good work out now :(
My DJ sets are unique. Like Deadmau5, Paul Van Dyke and Sam La More, I use Ableton Live to DJ with. This enables me to do live mashups and edits on the fly, and to use production quality effects.
